The Lincoln College Men’s Basketball team went on the road Tuesday
night and defeated the Miners of the Missouri University of Science
and Technology (NCAA DII) to pick up their eighth win of the season.
The Lynx came out hot in the first half, shooting 59.4 percent from
the field, including making 10-of-15 from three-point range. LC led
by as many as 23 points during the first half and took a 51-39
			advantage into the break.

The Miners looked to turn things around in the second half by going
on a 9-0 run over the first three minutes of the period to cut their
deficit to just three points (51-48). However, Lincoln answered with
a 7-point run of their own to go up by ten and remained in the lead
for the rest of the game. In the end, the Lynx were able to hold off
S&T down the stretch to earn an 83-74 victory.

Lincoln guards Trayvon Tyler (Rockford) and Darnell Latham Jr.
(Chicago) were the top offensive performers for the Lynx.
Tyler and Latham each scored 25 points in the game. Senior forward
Julian Powell pulled off another double-double by pulling down a
			team-high 13 rebounds and scoring 12 points.

Lincoln assistant Coach Edwin McGhee saw the win as one of the
team’s best performances of the season so far. “We defended well and
had one of our best shooting nights of the year,” said McGhee. “It
was great to see the guys playing unselfishly and they showed a lot
of mental toughness to not let S&T back in it at the end of the
			game.”

LC (8-6) will be off until December 12th when they will host Robert
Morris University (Chicago) at 7:00 PM.
