The Lincoln College Women’s Basketball team was defeated at home on
Tuesday evening by the visiting Olivet-Nazarene University Tigers
112-84.
LC trailed by just three points after a high-scoring first quarter
(30-27). The second quarter saw ONU continue to find success on the
offensive side of the court, but LC was unable to keep up and went
into the halftime break down 60-44.
In the third quarter, Lincoln again kept pace with the Tigers and
played them nearly evenly, but Olivet outscored Lincoln by 11 in the
fourth quarter to seal the 28-point victory.
LC’s Kaleia Monteiro, a sophomore forward from Rockford, Illinois,
turned in an impressive performance. Monteiro pulled off a
double-double, leading the team in scoring with 24 points and tied
for the lead in rebounds with 10.

on Wednesday with a 5:30 PM road game at St. Ambrose University
(NAIA) in Davenport, Iowa.
