Pheasants Forever Chapter 894 in partnership with the Logan County
representative of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources,
recently hosted the annual Wing-shooting Clinic in rural Logan
			County.
Eleven young shooters were joined by instructors Josh Pharis and Ed
Anderson and IDNR instructor Terry Muser. The youth spent the
morning learning about firearm safety, hunting safety and then took
part in clay target shooting to strengthen their skills.

After lunch, the group went pheasant hunting. Each youth member
worked with a hunting dog, dog handler, and an instructor. At the
end of the day, each one had bagged two pheasants.

The goal of the day was to get young people outside, help them
understand the responsibility of handling a firearm and how to do so
safely. The kids had a great day and so did the instructors.
