NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING MOUNT PULASKI COMMUNITY UNIT DISTRICT # 23

I. A public hearing to approve a proposed property tax levy increase for Mount Pulaski Community Unit District #23 for 2018 will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. in the Unit Office, 119 N. Garden Street, Mount Pulaski, IL 62548. Any person desiring to appear at the public hearing and present testimony to the taxing district may contact Philip Shelton, Superintendent, 119 N. Garden Street, Mount Pulaski IL 62548.

II. The corporate and special purpose property taxes extended or abated for 2017 were $5,364,125. The proposed corporate and special purpose property taxes to be levied for 2018 are
$5,911,113. This represents a 10.20% increase over the previous year.

Ill. The property taxes extended for debt service and public building commission leases for 2017 were $133,914. The estimated property taxes to be levied for debt service and public building commission leases for 2018 are $ 132,570.  This represents a 1.00% decrease over the previous year.

IV. The total property taxes extended or abated for 2017 were $5,498,040. The estimated total property taxes to be levied for 2018 are $6,043,683. This represents a 9.92% increase over the previous year.
