Maggie Anderson named December
Senior of the Month at Mount Pulaski High School

Maggie Anderson, daughter of Carol and Ed Anderson of Mt. Pulaski,
has been named December Senior of the month at Mount Pulaski High
School. She was selected for this honor based on the criteria of
scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Maggie stays actively involved in numerous athletics, clubs, and
organizations at MPHS. She has been a member of the Soccer team,
Cheerleading Squad, and the State Champion Trap Shooting team. She
is also a member of FFA, NHS, and plays in the band.
Maggie has earned awards through her involvement with FFA. She has
received the Star Green Hand Degree award and the Star Chapter
Degree award. Maggie has previously served as FFA Chapter Reporter
and Vice President, and is currently serving as President of the Mt
Pulaski FFA.
Maggie plans to attend a 4 year university to as a pre-vet major and
then attend veterinary school, specializing in large and small
animals.

The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Conaway Handyman Service and
Downing, Przykopanski, Clements, & May Insurance Agency, Inc.. They are also in
the running for the $500 Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National
Bank.
