Hilltoppers open play in the St. Teresa Holiday Tournament

[December 22, 2018]    Mount Pulaski took the host team down to the wire Friday night in the St. Teresa Holiday Tournament.

 

The Bulldogs edged the Hilltoppers 44-40 in the opening round of the tournament. St. Teresa held a 14-12 lead after one quarter of play and the Hilltoppers closed that gap to 29-28 at the half. The end of the third quarter saw St. Teresa with a slim 35-34 lead. The Hilltoppers chances were good in the fourth quarter, but St. Teresa pulled away in the final minute and took home the 44-40 win.

Mount Pulaski was led by Drew Martin with 12 points. Grant Davis tossed in 11 points and Lane Murphy contributed 10 points.

Mount Pulaski will play Riverton tonight at 6 p.m. as the tournament resumes later today.
