Due
to the December 25th holiday, the Lincoln City
Council held the fourth Committee of the Whole
meeting on Wednesday evening. Among the topics
discussed was a request from Chris Graue for a
$4,000 sponsorship from the city for the Dock
Dogs event to be held in June. Graue said that
in total he needs to raise $8,500 for the event.
Of that amount $2,500 will be for promotion,
which has been secured from the Logan County
Tourism Bureau. The other $6,500 will be for the
hard costs of bringing the event to Lincoln. If
the city chooses to pay the $4,000, Graue said
he would still need to raise an additional
$2,000 in sponsorships and would hope to do that
by seeking support from local businesses and
other entities. Aldermen are expected to vote on
this request at the next voting meeting Monday,
January 7, 2019.
