The collected diapers were donated to Community
Action Partnership of Central Illinois (CAPCIL) Head Start Centers
located in Lincoln.
This annual event has continued to collect more items than the year
before. This year was no exception collecting more than 3700 units,
a 48% increase over the 1900 units collected in 2017. In addition, a
second community partner participated in this year’s donation.
Thrivent Financial Agent, DavyLynne Wills, along with CAPCIL
employee Margie Dollinger contributed $250 made possible through
Thrivent’s Action Team Project that includes a mission of “Live
Generously”.
Thank you to everyone that donated. Your generosity makes a large
impact. “The Early Head Start center-based programs use thousands of
diapers each year.

"Diapers are a large expense therefore donations from local
businesses and the communities we serve have allowed us to use grant dollars on
other classrooms needs such as educational materials and developmentally
appropriate toys," said Head Start Director, Jenifer Deweese.
