The deal comes with a club option for 2020

The Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays also made strong bids to
acquire Cruz, Jon Heyman reported.
Cruz, 38, spent the past four seasons with the Seattle Mariners.
Last season he hit .256 and slugged 37 home runs with 97 RBIs.
Cruz has averaged 41 home runs per season since 2014.
Cruz spent eight seasons with the Texas Rangers.
