MOUNT PULASKI
Faith
Doerr, daughter of Marsha and Scott Doerr of Elkhart, has been named
January Senior of the Month at Mount Pulaski High School. She was
selected for this honor based on the criteria of scholarship,
leadership, service, and character.

Faith
stays actively involved in many of the different sports and
organizations we offer at MPHS. She has been a member of
Cheerleading, Student Council, Spanish Club, and Drama Club for four
years. She has been a member of the Softball team, Yearbook
Committee, National Honor Society, and prom Committee for two years.
She has been a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of
America (FCCLA) for three years, and has been a member of Science
Olympiad for one year.
Faith
has earned multiple awards and accomplishments. She was the 2017
winner of the Memorial Day Essay Contest and got the 2017
Cheerleading Spirit Award.

Her Freshman year she was named Spanish I student of the year and
World Geography student of the year. She has spent seven semesters on the Honor
Roll and received the Junior Women’s Club International Study Scholarship.
Faith plans to attend Southern Illinois University in
Edwardsville to major in Nursing.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson True Value Hardware and
Conaway Handyman Service. Monthly award winners receive a $100 award paid to the
college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500
Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
