This treatment is for those who suffer from vaginal
or vulvar atrophy. The procedure uses a laser to promote healing in
the inner lining of the vagina. The laser stimulates collagen in the
layers of the vaginal wall to improve the health of the vaginal
tissue. Doctors can perform the treatment in their office in less
than ten minutes. Patients on hormone treatments for vaginal or
vulvar atrophy can use MonaLisa Touch® Therapy as a non-hormonal
option.

In total, the patient will receive a series of three
treatments over 18 weeks, one treatment every six weeks. Often, a
booster is recommended every 12-18 months. The procedure does
not require anesthesia before, and patients will not need pain
medications or rest afterwards. Some patients have reported mild
discomfort for a day or two after, but return to full activity by 48
hours.
