Obituary
Mary Lou Jason, 83, of Mount Pulaski,
passed away at 7:18 p.m. on February 2, 2018 at
Memorial Medical Center.
Mary Lou was born on September 17, 1934 in
Livingston County, daughter of Frederick and Helen
E. (Stahler) Schmitt. She married Royal L. “Doc”
Jason on June 19, 1954 in Henry. He preceded her in
death on October 28, 2010.
Surviving Mary Lou are her children: Steven
(Michelle) Jason of Mount Pulaski, Kevin (Patty)
Jason of Chestnut, Royal “Doc” (Cheryl) Jason of
Mount Pulaski, Rhonda (Ben) McCarty of Buffalo,
Frederick Jason of Mount Pulaski, and Lyndon (Mindy)
Jason of Heyworth; her siblings, Father Harold
Schmitt of Henry, Richard (Barb) Schmitt of Tiskilwa,
Jerry Schmitt of Henry, Sharon Jason (George) of
Lacon, Joy (Butch) Wunder of Lacon, Betty Shearer of
Henry, and Pam (Ernie) Waldschmidt of Lacon; twelve
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents and her brother
Larry. |
She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas and American
Legion Auxiliary in Magnolia. She enjoyed spending
time with her friends and family and playing cards.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday February 7,
2018 at St. Thomas Quinas Catholic Church in Mount
Pulaski, with Rev. Jeffrey Laible officiating.
Visitation will be two hours prior to service
(9:00-11:00 a.m.). Burial at Steenbergen Cemetery
will follow the service.
Memorials may be made in Mary Lou’s name to St.
Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church or Alzheimer’s
Association.
Services are entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home in Lincoln.
