Local authorities, schools, and public organizations adopt the "iloveuguys" standard response protocol

 

[February 06, 2018]  LINCOLN - Schools and organizations throughout Logan County are now using the "iloveuguys" Foundation Standard Response Protocol in dealing with hazardous or dangerous situations at or near schools and other public locations.

The Protocol consists of four actions. Lockout, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter. Schools and organizations have been trained on each action which comes with a specific set of instructions to follow in a time of crisis. All first responder agencies in Logan County have also received training on these actions to better respond to any incident.

This poster (in Pdf format for printing) lists the four actions of the Standard Response Protocol and instructions for each action.

It is important for the public to know what these actions are in case they are present when an incident occurs, or if they are notified of an incident that is occurring at a location.

Parents and the public should stay clear of a location during a time of emergency as it is important not to cause traffic jams that will slow first responder response. First responders can include police, fire, ambulance, and other resources.

In an emergency, listen for instructions via mass communication or media outlets.
