[February 06, 2018]  ATLANTA - Jacob A. "Jake" Overbey, 32, of Atlanta, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, as a result of a car accident in rural Logan County.

Visitation:  2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home

Service: 11 a.m. Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Atlanta Christian Church

Obituary

Jacob A. "Jake" Overbey, 32, of Atlanta, passed away at 5:25 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, as a result of a car accident in rural Logan County.

Funeral services for Jake will be on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Atlanta Christian Church at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Maurice Stribling will officiate.

Burial will follow at the Atlanta Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 4, 2018, at the Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home.

Jacob Adam Overbey was born July 19, 1985, in Lincoln, the son of Terry Michael and Theresa Hopp Overbey of Atlanta. They survive.

Jake is also survived by his son: Connor Overbey; fiance Miriah Sanders of McLean; three siblings: Catherine (Andrew Koke) Overbey of Bloomington, Ind., Terry M. Overbey, II, and Justin (Katie) Overbey, both of Lincoln; nieces: Caitlyn, Carli, Haylee, and Mikayla; great-niece: Brinleigh; and aunts: Linda (Alan) Crum, Alice Coulter, and Linda Overbey.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; three uncles: Richard Hopp, Ralph Hopp, and Ralph Stone; and one aunt: Dianna Overbey.

Jake is a graduate of Stratford Career Institute. He had worked at Wal-Mart in Lincoln and the Logan County Jail. His son was the greatest joy of his life and was always on his mind.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of his sister, Catherine Overbey.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of Atlanta.
