Hilltoppers pick up round one win in Regional basketball action

Mount Pulaski opened regional play on Wednesday night at Decatur St.
Teresa and the Lady Hilltoppers blew out Normal Calvary Christian
67-27 in the first round.
Isabella Wade tossed in nine points quickly in the first quarter for
Mount Pulaski to guide the ladies to a 25-7 lead. The Lady
Hilltoppers just kept gaining momentum throughout the game and ran
away with the victory.
Four Lady Hilltoppers hit double figures in the win. Skylar Hayes
led the attack with 13 points, 6 assists and 5 steals. Savannah
Moore contributed 12 points, 6 steals and 4 assists. Morgan May
tossed in 11 points and had 3 blocked shots. Wade finished the night
with 11 points for Mount Pulaski.
Mount Pulaski will play for the regional championship tonight at
7:00 p.m. versus Decatur St. Teresa. The game is hosted by Decatur
St. Teresa.
