Freshman guard Allysah Boothe (Chicago) lit up
the scoreboard for LC by hitting on six out of eight three-point
shots and scoring 27 points overall. Sophomore Erynn Young
contributed 18 points while fellow sophomore Nautica Preston had
15.
Lincoln Coach Matt Vavro was again pleased with his team’s
effort. “I thought at the beginning of the first half we were a
little complacent, but the girls really stepped it up down the
stretch and made some big plays to pull out the win,” he said.
“I thought Lincoln Land played really well. That is always a
tough place to play.”
On Friday, the Lady Lynx will host the Bryant & Stratton College
from Wisconsin. Tip-off is set for 5:30
