Hilltoppers lose regional championship to Decatur St. Teresa

The Mount Pulaski girls basketball season came to an end Thursday
night in the Class 1A Regional Championship as the Lady Hilltoppers
fell to Decatur St. Teresa by a score of 70-50.
Skylar Hayes led Mount Pulaski with 25 points.
The Lady Hilltoppers finish the 2017-18 season with an even 14-14
record.
In the three-point shootout, Mount Pulaski sophomore Kaylee Wilham
made 16 of 30 shots from beyond the arc in the first round of the
competition. In the following round she hit 6 of 15 shots to advance
to the sectional round of competition. Wilham will shoot the night
of the Sectional Championship, according to Mount Pulaski Athletic
Director Brent Grisham.
Other Mount Pulaski sharp-shooters in the competition were Skylar
Hayes, Shelby Bailey and Olivia Cooper.
