Pulaski boys basketball splits with New Berlin

Tuesday night basketball action on the hardwood featured a thrilling
matchup of two Class 1A teams having successful seasons. Mount
Pulaski took their 18-5 record to New Berlin to face the 19-5
Pretzels. Playing in front of an enthusiastic crowd at The Pretzel
Dome, the Hilltoppers held their own early with the Pretzels but by
halftime the home team had built a ten-point lead. Mount Pulaski was
outscored 28-17 in the second half and the Pretzels ran away with
the 56-35 victory.
Mount Pulaski’s record fell to 18-6 while New Berlin improved to
20-5 on the season.
Peyton Taylor led all scorers with 19 points and Gezus Oliver
chipped in 10 points for Mount Pulaski.

The Mount Pulaski JV team defeated New Berlin in a close contest
47-45.
Dustin Murphy poured in 25 points for Mount Pulaski and Brandon
Kretzinger tossed in 14 points.
