to hold free seminar on heart health

SPRINGFIELD
Memorial Medical Center will host a free seminar on
heart health on Wednesday, Feb. 28, in the Memorial Center for
Learning and Innovation (MCLI).

The program, “Prevention and Pace: Managing Your
Heart Health,” begins at 6 p.m. and will feature a panelist of
physician specialists in the M.G. Nelson Family Auditorium on the
MCLI's first floor.
The 90-minute program will feature Dr. Adeeb Ahmed, an
interventional cardiologist with Springfield Clinic; Dr. Giselle
Baquero, an interventional cardiologist with SIU Medicine; Dr.
Yasmin Hamirani, a cardiologist with Springfield Clinic; Dr. Stephen
Hazelrigg, a cardiothoracic surgeon with SIU Medicine; and Dr.
Mohamed Labedi, an electrophysiologist with SIU Medicine.

Participants will learn about new advances in heart disease
prevention, heart rhythm emergencies, heart valve disease and managing their
heart health.
Sean Lynch, the morning show host of Capitol Radio Group's 100.5 WYMG and a
heart attack survivor, will moderate the panel discussion.
