Vincent Trocheck scored two
power-play goals in the third period, then completed the hat trick
with an empty-netter as the visiting Florida Panthers beat the
Edmonton Oilers 7-5 on Monday night.
Panthers goalie James Reimer made 27 saves in his return to action
after missing six games due to a groin injury.
Florida's Evgenii Dadonov scored twice, his second on a third-period
penalty shot that ended up being the game-winner, while Aaron Ekblad
and Denis Malgin added singles. Ekblad, Malgin, Jonathan Huberdeau,
Michael Matheson and Keith Yandle had two-point nights for the
visitors.
Patrick Maroon and Connor McDavid collected one goal and one assist
apiece for Edmonton, while Leon Draisaitl, also on a penalty shot,
Anton Slepyshev and Drake Caggiula scored.
Maple Leafs 4, Lightning 3
James van Riemsdyk broke a tie game with the game-winning goal in
the third period as Toronto won its fifth straight at home, beating
Tampa Bay.
William Nylander collected two goals and an assist, and Jake
Gardiner had a goal and an assist for Toronto. The win was the Maple
Leafs' eighth in nine games and fourth straight. Auston Matthews had
three assists for the Maple Leafs.

Alex Killorn and Nikita Kucherov each notched a goal and an assist
for Tampa Bay. Yanni Gourde had the Lightning's other goal.
Coyotes 6, Blackhawks 1
Max Domi, Clayton Keller, Alex Goligoski and Tobias Rieder each
notched a goal and an assist while Antti Raanta made 37 saves as
Arizona cruised to a home win over Chicago.
It was just the 14th victory in 56 games for Arizona, which has a
league-low 38 points. However, the Coyotes led 2-0 before the first
period was half-over and answered Chicago's only goal with four
unanswered markers to enjoy a rare two-point evening.
The Blackhawks fell to 0-5-1 in a six-game losing streak, their
longest skid in six years.
