 This
question is the latest theme that Logan County Arts addressed with
the exhibit opening Thursday evening at the Lincoln Art Institute.
The Rolling Stones said “Time Time is on my side, yes it is” and The
Chambers Brothers blasted out “Time Has Come Today.” These musical
takes on the theme was mirrored by the artists who hung their ideas
on the walls for the first art show at the LAI of 2018.
Time passes, times up, don’t have time; timing is everything, time
out, time me. Phrases with a timely theme can go on and on. What is
your favorite? The artists answered this question in a personal way
with all sorts of ideas and objects.
There are paintings, sculptures, and photographs with takes on the
idea of something we deal with every second of our lives.
Lacy Mei paired her collage with a set of headphones that played
music to enhance the experience.
Alice Ferguson looks forward to spring with a painting and poetry,
the passage of seasonal time.

Time is omnipresent and has a
pace creating a different meaning for all of us.
The “Art of Time” will hang until March 4 when a new one person
show will feature the paintings of acclaimed Bloomington artist
Dale Evans.
