The church is working to raise funds for a mission trip to Haiti. Approximately 20 people from the church are planning a 9 day visit to Haiti where they will provide a number of services including medical and eye clinics, VBS, and a boys and girls soccer camp.

Among the group going will be a medical doctor and team of nurses to conduct the medical clinics, and Dr. Nobbe of Nobbe Eye Care will conduct the eye clinics.

Local high school soccer and Lincoln Futbol Soccer Coach Tim Stuckey along with a team of youth from the church will conduct the free soccer clinic. Stuckey anticipates there will be approximately 75 children participate in the clinic.

Each child will be given a t-shirt and soccer ball, and will receive a healthy meal during the day.

In addition to the quarter auction, Stuckey is also accepting donations for the soccer camp specifically. According to Stuckey the cost per child for the camp is going to be about $25 and will include the t-shirt, soccer ball, and food. Because the camp is being provided to all the children free of charge, anyone wishing to donate to the camp would be greatly appreciated. Contact Stuckey directly by emailing railersoccer@gmail.com

In addition to the planned events, the team will also be helping out with other miscellaneous projects as needed.

The church and those going to Haiti need to raise $2,000 per person to pay for the trip. The group is working to get those funds raised and are hopeful that the quarter auction will be a significant contribution to the overall fundraising.
