Obituary
Daniel L. Lindsey, 64, of Clinton,
passed away at 12:10 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20,
2018, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
Big Dan wished to have a large party of family and
friends to celebrate his life at a later date.
Daniel Lee Lindsey was born November 10, 1953, in
Owensboro, Kentucky, the son of James William "Bill"
and Beulah Ackerman Lindsey. He married Becky Schumm
on Dec. 22, 1979, at First Christian Church in
Bloomington. She survives.
Daniel is also survived by his children: Josie (Joe)
Plummer of Lincoln, Jeff Bristow of Clinton, Jessie
(Mark) O'Daniel of Bloomington, and Joshua (Brandi)
Lindsey of Clinton; twelve grandchildren: Kelsie,
Stephanie, Jessica, Angela, Rayanna, Madison,
Olivia, Gage, Nathan, Luke, Fallon, and William; one
great-grandchild: Liam; and four siblings: Alice
Lindsey, James (Diane) Lindsey, Tim (Tammy) Lindsey,
and Karen (Peter) Baldus; and numerous nieces and
nephews. |
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Daniel was a Union Laborer with Laborers International Union of
North America Local 362 in Bloomington for over 35 years. He owned
Lindsey Detassling for over 30 years. He was a 1971 graduate of
Olympia High School. Big Dan was an avid sports fan and truly
enjoyed his children and grandchildren. He loved county fairs, and
especially fair food.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of
Atlanta.
