Obituary
Frances Carol "Frankie" Guzzardo,
71, of Lincoln, passed away January 1, 2018, at home
surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon
Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Lincoln Christian
Church. Funeral services will follow at 12 Noon with
Tim Searby officiating. Casual dress is requested.
Burial will follow in Zion Cemetery.
In honor of the life of Frankie Guzzardo, Guzzardo's
Italian Villa will be closed on Thursday, January 4,
2018.
Frankie was born February 19, 1946, in Charleston,
WV., the daughter of James Robert and Elva Euleen
(Elrod) Hallett. She married John Guzzardo on May
11, 1968, in Lincoln.
She was baptized into the faith at Boulevard Church
of Christ in Charleston, WV. Frankie attended
Lincoln Christian College. She was a member of
Lincoln Christian Church where she was active in
Women's Bible Study Groups. Frankie was co-owner of
Guzzardo's Italian Villa for several years. She was
active in the community and was the co-chair for the
Relay for Life, served on the Lincoln Art and
Balloon Festival committee, sat on the Board for
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, and the COPE
(Children of Pokot Education) Board. She enjoyed
ladies Bible study, loved her friends and family,
and loved to share her faith with everyone she came
in contact with. |
Surviving are her mother Elva Hallett of Lincoln; husband John
Guzzardo of Lincoln; son Nick (Shelly) Guzzardo also of Lincoln; daughter Shelly
(Richard) Corbin of Cedar Park, TX.; daughter Janelle (Arve) Kjoelen of Concord,
NC; 14 grandchildren: Jennifer, Erin, Zach, Jonathan, Alli, Emily, Natalie,
Zachary, Josh, JT, Julia, Aaliyah, Layla, Katelynn; two great grandchildren:
Jaice and Addi; and sisters Nancy (Kenny) Sherren of Lincoln and Dottie (Terry)
Janitz of Bonita Springs, FL.
She was preceded in death by her father James Hallett, brother Jimmy Hallett,
mother and father in law Rose and Doc Guzzardo, and sister and brother in law
Grace and Bob Ware.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to COPE (Children of Pokot
Education Fund) or to the Local Impact Ministry at Lincoln Christian Church.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Safe Haven Hospice, Lincoln
Christian Church family and friends, and numerous friends that are considered
family for the love and care they showed during this difficult time.
