Obituary
Nancy L. Overby, 77, of Lincoln
passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Nancy was born on December 1, 1940 in Alton, the
daughter of George and Leona (Dickmann) Ostendorf.
She married Jerry Overby on August 18, 1962 in
Edwardsville. He preceded her in death on October
11, 2015.
Nancy is survived by her son, Michael (Karen) Overby;
her daughter, Michelle (Tito) Gomez; her
grandchildren, Anthony Gomez, Mark Overby, and Nick
Overby; and her sister, Judy Selkirk.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her
husband; and her grandson, Patrick. |
Nancy was a Math Instructor at
Lincoln College for 16 years. She enjoyed traveling
in the United States; and spending time in her
garden.
Services for Nancy will be held at
10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Holy
Family Catholic Church in Lincoln. Visitation will
take place from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5,
2018 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln; with a 3:30 p.m. prayer service. Burial
will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in
Edwardsville, IL at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January
6, 2018.
Memorial donations may be made in Nancy’s name to
Holy Family Catholic Church.
