[January 17, 2018]  LINCOLN - Mary Ann Liesman Underwood Bratcher, 90, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Christian Village Nursing Home.

Visitation: 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church

Service: 11 a.m. Thursday at the church

Funeral home: Peasley Funeral Home, Lincoln

Mary Ann Liesman Underwood Bratcher, 90, of Lincoln passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at the Christian Village Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Peters officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the church.

Burial will be in Old Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Mary Ann Liesman was born on February 8, 1927, in Hartsburg, the daughter of Reynold Herman and Cora Caroline West Liesman. She was united in marriage to Thomas Edwin Underwood on November 25, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln. She later married Kenneth Eugene Bratcher on September 5, 1987, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg. Her husbands preceded her in death.

She is survived by her children: Daniel (Brenda) Underwood, Nancy Miller, Patricia Eimer, Donna (Doug) Klawitter, Jo (Gene) Johnson, and Steve (Mary) Bratcher; two sisters: Verniece Hoffert and Ruth Steffens; six grandchildren: Linda Cox, Thomas Miller, Keith (Jessica) Klawitter, Jaimie Klawitter, Amy Johnson, and Liz (Jason) Duncan; five great-grandchildren: Carolyn Chapman, Elizabeth Chapman, Alex Cox, Parker Duncan, and Tyler Duncan.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her husbands; sons : Scott and Stephen Underwood; granddaughter Lori Chapman; grandson Terry Cox; brothers: Orville “Irish" Liesman, Gerald Liesman, and Wilbur Liesman; and sisters: Betty Nichols and Geneva Haseley.

Mary Ann was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Hartsburg MNO Card Club, Round Robin Pinochle Club, Hartsburg American Legion Auxiliary, Oasis Senior Center, and Abe’s Babes Red Hat group.

She volunteered at Faith Lutheran Church and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Mary Ann worked at Lord’s Department Store and retired from Lincoln Development Center.

Memorials may be made to Faith Lutheran Church.

Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of Lincoln.
