Ticket
sales for Spring for Tea, the first 2018 event of the Harvest of
Talents for World Hunger, are scheduled to begin on February 1,
according to an announcement today by Tea Chairperson, Marcia
Bidwell. The tea will take place Saturday, April 14, in the
Fellowship Center of Lincoln Christian Church.
Spring for Tea, a premiere event of the Harvest features tea tables
hostessed by women from this and other communities, which are set
with china, silver and crystal and are decorated creatively with a
variety of embellishments including flowers, keepsakes, heirlooms
and other hand created treasures. A variety of sweet and savory
foods, chosen especially for the event and prepared by local cooks
and bakers, will be served, accompanied by a special blend of tea.
Upon
their arrival, guests will be escorted to their tables by Men in
Black and will be invited to a promenade of the tea tables prior to
the serving of tea. The afternoon will also feature door prizes and
a guest speaker.
