In 2005 a new warehouse was built at 915 Woodlawn
Road right after HFHLC had obtained the old Regions Bank drive-thru
branch at 909 Woodlawn. There more donated items were able to be
added and produce from a Habitat garden was sold.
In 2015 an addition was added to accommodate donated appliances and
furniture items where the recycling of electronics could be housed.
In an effort to make the ReSale of these generous donations buyer
friendly, HFHLC, on Saturday, January 27, is hanging shelves,
suspending lights from above, rearranging the entire building and
discarding items that are not of ‘top quality’.
The public is invited to ‘check- out’ this transformation and take
advantage of ‘red tag’ and ‘make an offer’ surplus items the week of
January 22 thru 27.
As the purpose of this ReSale program has always
been, the profits of all items from appliances, cabinets, doors,
furniture, hardware, paint, shingles, siding, windows, and toilets
to other items too numerous to mention go to the HFHLC building fund
for future Habitat homes.

Also on hand this week will be the “buy-a-stud” inventory. Those
who wish, may purchase a stud to be used in the next home build. Studs cost
$5.00 and the buyer may sign the wood to commemorate their contribution as the
next home is being built.
A Grand Opening, to be scheduled for early spring will also showcase several new
features. HFHLC continues to accept ‘user friendly, good condition articles of
furniture, appliances and home improvement items’. The HFHLC Warehouse/ReSale
Building is open Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on
Saturday 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Questions can be answered by calling 217-732-6412.
