Obituary
Kevin Scott Boyer, 53, of Lincoln,
passed away January 12, 2018.
Cremation rites have been accorded by Holland Barry
& Bennett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10
a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday, January 20, 2018 at
Jefferson Street Christian Church. Memorial services
will follow at 11 a.m.
Kevin was born April 18, 1964 in Rock Island, the
son of Harold Paul and Catherine Marie (Brown)
Boyer. He previously owned his own roofing business
and was formerly employed by Area Disposal. He
enjoyed playing basketball, loved making people
laugh, had a sweet and gentle nature, and loved his
family greatly. He was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Survivors include his children: Lori McDonnell,
Taylor, Boyer, and Isaiah Boyer; grandchildren: William, Jewel, and
Sophia; loving step children: Tricia Custer and Douglas Etcheson; siblings: Susan Durham, Janice Herrin, and Mark S. Boyer;
half sister Penny Parshall;
nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Randall L. Boyer
and Roger Dale Boyer, and grandson James McDonnell.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to his children in
care of Susan Durham.
