Obituary
Ruth Finchum Logeman 97, of Emden
passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at
Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Ruth was born on September 23, 1920 in rural
Hartsburg, the daughter of Nanke J. and Bertha
Arnold Rademaker. She married Fred O. Finchum on
August 11, 1940 in Emden. He preceded her in death
on April 19, 1980. She married Edward L. Krueger on
June 4, 1984 in Emden. He preceded her in death on
October 28, 1990. She married Lewis Logeman on
December 26, 1994. He preceded her in death on July
31, 2008.
Ruth is survived by her children, Fred R. (Susan)
Finchum of Atlanta, Jayne (John) Cross of Emden, and
James (Carole) Finchum of Springfield. Ruth is
survived by her grandchildren, Mark Finchum, Ron
Finchum, Bryan (Amber) Finchum, Michelle (Drew)
Olson, Janna (Brett) Conrady, Jaci (Shaun) Manning,
Jillyn (Ryan) Thornton, Joshua Finchum,
great-grandchildren: Brooke, Katelyn, and Shelby
Finchum, Brayden (Mandi) Finchum, Brodee Finchum,
Daulton Finchum, Alexis, Paige, and Kennadie Finchum;
Nic, Ty, Tessa, and Callen Olson; Ryder, Brantley,
and Coltyn Conrady, and Carson, Cruz, and Kendall
Manning. She is also survived by her two sisters:
Josephine Rorabaugh of Liberal, KS and Rachel Woll
of Morton. |
Ruth was preceded in death by her
parents; her husbands; her daughter, Joyce;
great-grandson, Grant Finchum; her brothers, Walter,
Arnold, and Ralph.
Ruth was a member St.
Peter Lutheran Church Emden, Good Samaritan Circle,
American Legion Auxiliary, and Oasis Card Club.
She graduated from Gem City Business College in
Quincy. Ruth also worked as a bookkeeper for
Heineken Brothers Ford for 20 years.
Services for Ruth will be held at 11:00a.m. Friday,
January 19, 2018 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in
Emden. Visitation will take place from 9:00-11:00
a.m. on Friday, January 19, 2018 also at the church.
Burial will follow the services at Hartsburg Union
Cemetery in Hartsburg. Memorial donations may be
made in Ruth’s name to St. Peter Lutheran Church or
Camp Griesheim.
Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
