[January 24, 2018]    The Lincoln College Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving teams were in action this past Friday at Lewis University (NCAA DII).

Both teams fell to Lewis University in overall scoring. The Men’s team went down 112 to 49 and the Women’s squad lost 137 to 39.

Overall, it was a rough outing for LC, but there were a few swimmers able to take first in their respective events. Lynx Freshman Colleen Ferguson (Marshal Islands) won the 50 and 100 yard freestyle events for the Lady Lynx. On the men’s side, Macoy Neinas (Sturgeon Bay, WI) finished first in the 200 IM and Fiji native Kalen Eyre won the 100 yard backstroke event.

“Our athletes showed a lot of heart during this dual meet,” said LC Swim Coach Jonathan Jordan. “We faced Lewis during our training trip and did not win a single event. It was good to see our athletes dig deep and pull off some wins.”

Lincoln will be in action next on January 26th at 4:00pm at the University of Illinois quadrangular meet.
