"Bill" Shoemaker, 98,of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, January 18,
2018 at 2:55 a.m. at the Christian Village Nursing Home in Lincoln.

Obituary
James G. "Bill" Shoemaker, 96, of
Lincoln, passed away on January 18, 2018, at The
Christian Village in Lincoln.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
James G. "Bill" Shoemaker was born December 9, 1919,
in Jasper County, Ill., the son of John and Della
Johnson Shoemaker. He was united in marriage to
Bertie B. Robertson on November 30, 1940. She
preceded him in death on August 19, 2010.
He is survived by one son: Bruce (Shirley) Shoemaker
of Crest Hill, Ill.; six grandchildren, and one
great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, one son: James
Richard Shoemaker, three brothers and five sisters.

Bill graduated from Lincoln Community High School. He
then served in the United States Army Air Corp. He retired from the
Frank E. Green Company as President.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge #914 in Lincoln where he was a
Past Exalted Ruler, member of Lincoln American Legion Post #263 and
Veteran of Foreign Wars Post #
Memorials may be made in Bill's memory to the Elks #914 Charitable
Trust.
