Obituary
Shirley A. Balfanz, 81, of Lincoln
passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at The
Christian Village in Lincoln.
Graveside Services for Shirley will be held on
Monday, June 25, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Cemetery
in Lincoln.
Shirley A. Balfanz was born on April 27, 1937 in
Lincoln the daughter of Wilbur and Norma Laughery
Fletcher. She was united in marriage to Kenneth
Wayne Mullins in 1955 and later married George
Balfanz in October, 1981. He preceded her in death
on June 4, 1986.
Surviving Shirley are her children: Susan (Alvin)
Castile of Thomasboro and Michael Mullins. Two
granddaughters: Tiffany Rose , Brittany Naylor. Four
great grandchildren. Dakato and Paige Naylor , Cody
and Austin Rose. One sister Linda Goldsbarry of
Lincoln and one brother: Norman Fletcher.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both
husbands, one infant daughter and one grandson.
Shirley graduated from the Lincoln Community High
School in 1955.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in
Lincoln.
She was employed at McDonald's for ten years as a
cook.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's
choice.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
