Community invited to “Cruisin for a
Cause”
Fun filled day will benefit local Special
Olympics team

LINCOLN
- A fun community event for the whole family is coming on Saturday,
July 14th from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Logan Lanes Parking Lot, 1700
5th Street in Lincoln.

Special Olympics Lincoln Park District Team with be
partnering with the United Riders of Central Illinois, the
Railsplitter Antique Auto Club, the Lincoln Jeep Club, Wal-Mart and
Logan Lanes to bring the first ever “Cruisin’ For a Cause” event to
town. There will be a grand display of antique, sport and tricked
out models of cars, jeeps and motorcycles. There will also be a
display of wreckers, antique fire trucks and the D.A.R.E Humvee.
A pulled pork lunch will be available for purchase with food and
accessories provided by Paulus Farms, Sugar Creek Bar-B-Que and
Wal-Mart, DJ Dinger will be on hand, and there will be a raffle
featuring some really great items.
For the kids, there will be inflatables and Face Painting for a
donations to Special Olympics Lincoln Park District Team.
All makes and models of vehicles, Jeeps and Motorcycles are welcome
for display! All vehicles and Motorcycles for display are required
to pay $5.00 to enter the lot and set up will take place between
10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m.

All of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Lincoln Park
District Special Olympic Team. More specifically the money will be used for the
necessary sports equipment, uniforms, travel to competitions and meals for the
athletes. The dollars earned will provide the individuals of the Lincoln Park
District Team the opportunity to gain self-respect, friendships and courage
through training and participation in quality sports training and competitions.

and make a donation.
