Kids Worship

Obedience doesn’t come easy! During the month of July our kids will look at the struggles people in the Bible had with obedience and examine their own struggles to always do what is right! From the battle between the Israelites and the Philistines, to the opposition Jesus faced, to the conflicts kids face today, we will search the Bible for how we can live godly lives obeying God every step of the way! Kids will have the opportunity to see how the Ten Commandments are a relevant guide for their lives each and every day!
Our key verse for this month is Deuteronomy 5:32, “Obey All God’s commands.” Moms and Dads, if you would like to talk with your kids about our study the topics are listed below.

• The Philistines Capture the Ark. 1 Samuel 5:1–5. We know God is the only god.

• Jesus Heals on the Sabbath. Mark 3:1–5. We set aside a day for God.

• The Parable of Two Sons. Matthew 21:28–32. We honor God by obeying our parents.

• People Lie About Jesus. Mark 14:53–65. We tell the truth no matter what.

• Nathan Give’s David a Message From God. 2 Samuel 12:1–6. We’re content with what God gives us.

Grace Lutheran Church joins

Lutheran Military Support Group

GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH, 201 S. College St., Lincoln, IL has formed a local chapter of the Lutheran Military Support Group (LMSG).

“This is a lay-led group of military people who want to serve the men and women of the United States military, Veterans and their families,” explains Clarence Mankin, Atlanta who is a member of Grace and the liaison for the local LMSG chapter.

“Our local congregation is pleased to be part of this network of Christians who are deeply interested in serving our military,” says Mankin. “We look forward to working in the (city) area through events and spiritual support.”
