Lincoln Senior Baseball team to host the first segment of 4th Division Tournament starting Thursday

Beginning Thursday, July 19th the Legion Senior Baseball team will have the honor of posting the beginning portion of the 4th Division Tournament, as well as playing in the tournament.

The postseason tournament will result in the opportunity for the top team to play in the state tournament at Alton to be held later this year.

The double-elimination tournament will start on Thursday the 19th and run through Wednesday the 25th.

The two teams that advance from the Lincoln bracket move on to play in Danville starting on Sunday.

Games will be played at 4 p.m., 6:15 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on Thursday at the Lincoln Park District Ball Diamonds. Play will continue on Friday with two events at 6 p.m., and 8 p.m. On Saturday games will be played at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Lincoln will play on Thursday evening at 4 p.m. If the team takes the victory it will play again that same evening at 6:15 p.m. If Lincoln does not win their first game on Thursday they will play their second elimination round on Friday evening at 6 p.m.
