Obituary
Jean B. Netzley, 71, of Springfield
passed away on Friday, May 25, 2018, in her home.
Jean was born on April 26, 1947, in Lincoln, the
daughter of Carl A. and Lillian (Furman) Bock. She
graduated from Lincoln Community High School and
earned an undergraduate degree from Sangamon State
University and an MBA from Illinois State
University. She spent years working in the insurance
industry. Jean had an eye for fashion and loved
mysteries and true crime stories.
Jean is survived by her son, Jason (Sara) Netzley of
East Peoria, her niece Julie (Shawn) Foreman of
Baton Rouge, LA; her niece Kristi Anthony of
Champaign, and her nephew, Scott (Joy) Anthony of
Dallas, GA.

Jean was preceded in death by her
parents; her brother, C. Allen Bock; and her sister,
Aileen Bock Anthony.
A memorial service for Jean will be
held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2018, at
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
Visitation will take place one hour prior to the
service (10:00-11:00 a.m.) also at the funeral home.
Jean loved cats, although allergies prevented her
from having any in her home.
Memorial donations may be made in her name to the
Humane Society of Logan County or the Springfield
Animal Protective League.
