San Jose Free Summer Concert Series to feature The Chosen Ones on July 29th

[July 24, 2018]    The second concert of this summer’s concert series will feature Gospel music recording artists, “The Chosen Ones”, on Sunday, July 29th at 6:00 pm. The concert will be held at Pree Park, 200 S. Second Street, San Jose. In the event of inclement weather (rain, heat, etc.), the concert will be held in the fellowship hall of the San Jose United Methodist Church, 600 S. First Street, San Jose.

The Chosen Ones feature three generations of smooth family harmony, blending traditional and progressive Southern Gospel with light Contemporary Christian music. Their unique approach to Gospel Music appeals to a diverse audience.

The Chosen Ones are celebrating over 40 years in Gospel music having begun their ministry in 1974. They have sun throughout the United States and abroad, performing over 150 personal appearances annually. They have released over 30 recordings, which have included 4 national radio releases.

It is the desire of The Chosen Ones to present more than just a concert, but a worship experience. They use the medium of Christian music to present the Gospel truth and encourage the church.

Make plans to attend this exciting event. This is a free concert and everyone is welcome. Beginning at 5:00 pm there will be activities and free food. The concert will begin promptly at 6:00 pm. Please sure to bring your lawn chairs.

This concert series in a four-concert series sponsored by the San Jose Christian Church, San Jose United Methodist Church and St. Luke Lutheran Church. The concert scheduled for August 19th will feature The Melton Family. The final concert for the summer will be September 23rd featuring Heavenly Bound.
