ATLANTA
As a ‘thank-you’ to the Atlanta Parks Department for
the use of the Atlanta Memorial Community House basement as work
space for the creation and completion of over 250 quilts a year, the
Atlanta Quilt Corner and Crafty Misfits created a military themed
quilt for this year’s raffle. The proceeds will go toward
maintenance projects within the Community House.

“We would not be able to provide so many quilts for
the children of the Wee Care Tree, Atlanta; St Francis Children’s
Cancer Center, Peoria; and Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital ER,
Lincoln, without the space to store supplies, cut, sew, tie, and
bind quilts,” said Donna Campbell of the Quilt Corner.
The quilt is on display at The Dixie Restaurant, McLean, Illinois.
Tickets can be purchased at The Dixie restaurant counter or by
calling 217-960-6261. The drawing for the quilt will be at 8:00
p.m., on Labor Day, September 3, 2018 at The Dixie.
