LINCOLN
- On Saturday, September 22, the annual Abraham Lincoln Memorial
Hospital Run/Walk will take place at 8am at Edward Madigan State Park.

The event features 5K
and 10K options and will take place rain or shine. This is a
chip-timed and course certified event.
The 5K/10K registration fees ($25-$30 before September 6) include
a long sleeve race shirt. Prizes will be awarded to the top
finishers in a variety of age divisions. A free 200-yard kid dash
will be held at 7:30am offering small prizes for all participants 10
and under. New this year is a free chip timed 1 mile run for youth
ages 8-13. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels and ages can
register now online at ALMH.org.
“Our mission is to improve the health of the people and communities
we serve, and what better way than through exercise? I hope this
event encourages people of all ages and fitness levels to make
strides towards good health,” said Dolan Dalpoas, President and CEO
of Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.

Proceeds from the event support community wellness initiatives including the
work of the ALMH Community Health Collaborative (CHC). The Collaborative works
toward a vision of creating the heathiest community in America. Collaborative
initiatives include the Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH) program
currently reaching over 3,000 students in the ALMH service area, efforts to
combat opioid abuse, the safe ride program to prevent drunk driving and more.
