Obituary
Martha J. Harris Kirk, 76, of
Lincoln, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at St.
Clara's Rehab and Senior Center.
Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, June 7,
2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the New Union Cemetery in
Lincoln with Fr. Dave Klug officiating.
Martha Joyce Harris was born December 17, 1941, in
Bloomington, the daughter of Floyd R. "Bay" and
LaVahn Kepner Harris. She was united in marriage to
Everett F. Kirk on November 10, 1973. He preceded
her in death on August 16, 1997.
She is survived by two sisters: Jean (Gordon)
Kindred of Atlanta and Joan Horrom of Lincoln; and
eight nieces and nephews: Bill Horrom, Kathy Lahr,
Mike Horrom, Steve Horrom, Gayle Klug, Karen
Sherman, Denis Kindred, and Marsha Mammen. |
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband,
one brother: Shorty Harris, and two nephews: David Horrom and Jeff
Kindred.
Martha graduated from the Atlanta High School in 1959. She retired
from Lehn and Fink after 30 years of service.
Memorials may be made to the Atlanta Fire Department.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of
Lincoln.
