Starting Friday evening Swigs offered live music
throughout the evening beginning with local vocalist Lesleigh
Bennett.
Local downtown businesses, Flossie and Delzena’s, and Spirited
Republic provided excellent foods perfectly paired with craft beers
for the first event of the weekend.
A variety of local craft breweries were on hand, and the beer wagon
offered some beautiful and original blends.
On Saturday, the highlights of the day on the Swigs side included
the bags tournament and the homebrew competition.
This year there were multiple entries in the homebrew competition.
Judging was held inside Guest House Coffee & Pastries where it was
cool.
Winners of the home brew competition by class were:
IPA – Nate Folkes
Stout – Brent Sperry
Brown/Amber – Andy Hazelrigg
Wheat – Ashely Sperry
Pilsner – Roy Lee
Miscellaneous – Jerry Welch

Stout Porter.
At the bags tournament, the winning team was Alyssa
Yeazle and Mo Lesuer.
Adding plenty of musical flavor from the stage throughout the rest
of the weekend were Powerplay on Friday night; Toocan, and Tennessee
Borderline on Saturday.
