Gear up for a good time, 3rd Fridays to return on June 15
Carnival feel for third annual family fun nights

[June 11, 2018]   LINCOLN - Get ready for a good time, the 3rd Fridays Downtown Lincoln committee is bringing back summer fun to Lincoln. Starting Friday, June 15 at 5:30 p.m., Lincoln residents can take part in a variety of FREE activities around the Lincoln Courthouse Square Historic District. From games, shopping, to indulging in local food favorites—there’s truly going to be something for everyone!

What’s Happening?

Lincoln cover band, Harmony G.R.I.T.S. will be performing modern country and classic rock hits on the corner of Kickapoo and Pulaski Streets. Plus, there will be games for kids and adults alike, including a bouncy house, gravity ball, Hoop-It-Up basketball, Swing ‘N’ Score baseball, Hi-Striker, yard games such as adult sized Jenga, Connect Four, giant Kerplunk, and more.

Eventgoers will also be able to join in on a bags tournament on Pulaski Street sponsored by Spirited Republic and the Alley-Bi Saloon. The 3rd Friday’s Vendor Market will be located along Kickapoo Street and participating restaurants and food vendors will position stands outside their businesses and along the square.

The 3rd Fridays Downtown Lincoln committee is seeking volunteers, sponsors, and vendors. Openings are still available for June 15, and the third Fridays of July 20, August 17, and September 21.

About 3rd Fridays Downtown Lincoln
Lincoln’s 3rd Fridays Downtown events are held on the third Friday’s of each month from June through September, with a total of four event dates in 2018. The event hours are 5:30-8:30 p.m. and will be located on the square in downtown Lincoln. The market will be positioned on Kickapoo Street between Pekin and Pulaski Streets. Each event may call for different street closures.
