Tropics Sign comes home to Lincoln
Relighting ceremony to be held Sunday, June 24th

[June 22, 2018]   LINCOLN - A Grand Relighting Event for the restored Tropics neon sign will be held Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 1007 Hickox Drive, Lincoln, Illinois [McDonald's parking lot]. The public is invited to attend.

Activities commence at 7:15pm-7:45pm with a pre-event reception, followed by a program from 7:45pm-8:15pm during which individuals from several organizations that supported the project will speak. At 8:15pm we will flip the switch!

The public is invited and encouraged to join in the fun by wearing your best tropical attire. Seating is limited, so feel free to bring a lawn chair. McDonalds, a key supporter of the project, will offer a special $1.66 cheeseburger & small fries meal throughout the day.
