THIS WEEK: It's back to turning left for the series after last week's trip to the road course in Sonoma, Calif., won by Martin Truex Jr., his third win of the season and second in three races. ... This is the 17th of 36 races this season and the first on NBCSN, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. debuting in the broadcast booth. ... This will be the 18th series race at the track, dating back to its opening in 2001. ... Truex won this race last year on his way to the series championship, and he also won here in 2016. ... This is the first big schedule change of the season as Chicagoland moves to early summer after it was the opening race of the playoffs in previous years from 2011-17. ... With Truex's win at Sonoma, a Toyota Camry has won seven of the 16 races so far, with Ford Fusions wining eight and a Chevrolet Camaro only one. ... The track represents the type that makes up four of the 10-race playoffs -- 1.5-mile D-shaped ovals -- and teams will be focused on fine-tuning their car setups for the future. ... THIS WEEK: The series kicks off the NASCAR triple-header at Chicagoland with a race under the lights. ... This will be the 10th series race at the track, with Johnny Sauter winning here last year. ... This is the 11th of 23 races on the season. ... Justin Haley won the race last week at Gateway International Raceway outside St. Louis, the first victory of his career. ... *Sauter leads the Truck standings (464 points), followed by *Noah Gragson (391), *Brett Moffitt (368), Grant Enfinger (337), Stewart Friesen (335), *Haley (325), Matt Crafton (325), Ben Rhodes (309), Myatt Snider (280) and Cody Coughlin (262). THIS WEEK: After a race at Road America won by Josef Newgarden, the series takes a week off before heading to Iowa Speedway as the championship race heats up. ... There are seven races left on the schedule with five drivers within 65 points of each other, but leader Scott Dixon is up by 45. ... New Zealand's Dixon leads the standings (393 points), followed by Ryan Hunter-Reay (348), Alexander Rossi (348), Newgarden (243) and Australian Will Power (328) rounding out the top five.

Valtteri Bottas won this race last season. ... Lewis Hamilton started on the pole and cruised to victory last week in the French Grand Prix, leaving second-place Max Verstappen more than seven seconds adrift. Kimi Raikkonen was a very distant third, nearly 26 seconds behind Hamilton. ... This is the ninth of 21 races this season and the middle race in a back-to-back-to-back that concludes next week at Silverstone and the British Grand Prix. Four more races in Europe will follow before the series leaves the continent for all but one of the remaining seven races. ...
