Obituary
Beverly Y. Wilson, 87, of Waynesville
died on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Liberty Village
Nursing Home in Clinton.
She was born on November 1, 1930 in Bloomington, the
daughter of Herman and Marie Crutchley Koch. After
graduating from Bloomington High School, Beverly
married James K. Wilson on April 17, 1949. They
moved from Bloomington to their farm in Waynesville
in 1953.
Beverly is survived by her husband, James K. Wilson
of Waynesville; her daughter, Dyan (Gerry) Wilson-Osterland
of Ashland, Oregon; her son, Kenneth (Carol) Wilson
of Waynesville; her sister, Janice Adair of
Waynesville; 4 granddaughters; 4
great-grandchildren; and 2 nieces and their
families.
Beverly worked in Bloomington at State Farm
Insurance, GM&O Railroad, and Blunt, Ellis & Loewi,
and later in Clinton at Wallace Computer Services.
She was a BHS Senior Homecoming Queen, enjoyed time
with Waynesville's Women's Club, and as President of
the PTA. From 1994-2010 she and her husband spent
their winters in Apache Junction, Arizona. She was
also an avid photographer. |
Funeral services for Beverly will be held on
Thursday, March 1, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at the Waynesville United
Methodist Church with Rev. Bill Ramsdale officiating. Burial will
follow at Old Union Cemetery in Waynesville.
Visitation will be Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the
church prior to the service.
Memorials may be made to the Waynesville United Methodist Church or
the Waynesville Fire and Rescue Departments.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of
Atlanta.
