Calle Jarnkrok's goal 43 seconds into overtime gave visiting
Nashville a come-from-behind 4-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks
on Friday night, the Predators' seventh consecutive win.
The Predators overcame a 2-0 deficit for the second night in a row.
The Canucks took their second straight overtime setback at home.
Mike Fisher, in his first game since officially coming out of
retirement Monday, Kevin Fiala and Ryan Ellis tallied for Nashville
in regulation.
Daniel Sedin led the Canucks with a goal and an assist. Bo Horvat
and Brandon Sutter also scored for Vancouver. Alex Edler assisted on
two of the hosts' goals, becoming the franchise's all-time points
leader among defensemen with 326.
Senators 5, Golden Knights 4
Bobby Ryan had a goal and two assists and Erik Karlsson added three
assists as Ottawa handed host Vegas its third straight loss.
Mark Stone finished with a goal and an assist, and Matt Duchene,
Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Alexandre Burrows also scored goals for
Ottawa, which snapped an overall five-game losing streak and also a
six-game road losing streak. Craig Anderson had 25 saves for the
Senators.
Reilly Smith, Colin Miller and William Karlsson each had a goal and
an assist, and Ryan Carpenter also scored for Vegas. Marc-Andre
Fleury finished with 33 saves.
Ducks 4, Blue Jackets 2
Goals by Andrew Cogliano and Josh Manson just 87 seconds apart
midway through the second period sent host Anaheim off and running
to a victory over Columbus.
Goalie John Gibson made 34 saves for the Ducks, who snapped a modest
two-game slide despite being without captain Ryan Getzlaf due to
illness. Rickard Rakell and Cam Fowler also scored for Anaheim.
Columbus got goals from Sonny Milano and Zach Werenski.
Rangers 3, Flames 1
Henrik Lundqvist was at his best in making 50 saves on his 36th
birthday, and the red-hot Ryan Spooner collected a goal and an
assist as New York won at Calgary.
Spooner, who has collected one goal and seven points in three games
since joining the Rangers from the Bruins in the trade that sent
Rick Nash to Boston, had a hand in New York's first and third
tallies. However, Lundqvist was easily the biggest difference.
The veteran goalie was on his game right from the start, building
off a 50-save performance two nights earlier in a win over the
Canucks.
Avalanche 7, Wild 1
Nathan MacKinnon scored twice to boost his goal tally to a
team-leading 31, and he added three assists as Colorado won its
third consecutive game with a rout of Minnesota in Denver.
MacKinnon is the first Avalanche player to have multiple five-point
games in a season since Paul Stastny did so twice in the 2007-08
campaign. MacKinnon also had five points (one goal, four assists) in
a 6-2 win against the Washington Capitals on Nov. 16.
Gabriel Landeskog, Mikko Rantanen, Matt Nieto, Carl Soderberg and
Tyson Barrie) each added a goal for the Avalanche, who matched a
season high for goals and improved to 4-1-1 in their past six games.
Mikko Koivu collected the lone tally for Minnesota.

Jets 4, Red Wings 3
Patrik Laine scored pair of goals, including the decisive tally with
7:43 to play in the second period, and host Winnipeg beat Detroit.
Laine fired a wrist shot past Red Wings goalie Jimmy Howard's
stick-side blocker to put the Jets up 4-2 in the middle period.
Detroit's Trevor Daley scored 5:29 into the third, but Winnipeg held
onto its lead from there.
Dustin Byfuglien and Ben Chiarot each had goals, and Connor
Hellebuyck made 30 saves for Winnipeg. Anthony Mantha and Niklas
Kronwall also scored for Detroit. and Howard recorded 38 saves.
Panthers 4, Sabres 1
Host Florida won its fifth consecutive game, defeating Buffalo to
improve to 12-3-0 since the end of January.
The Panthers got goals from Mike Matheson, Aaron Ekblad, Aleksander
Barkov and Colton Sceviour. Nick Bjugstad and Evgenii Dadonov each
had two assists. Buffalo's goal came from Sam Reinhart.
The Panthers won a battle of backup goalies as James Reimer made 24
saves in his first start since Feb. 18. It was his fifth win in his
past seven starts. Buffalo's Robin Lehner, who made his first start
since Feb. 24, came up with 26 saves. He has lost seven of his past
nine starts.
Hurricanes 3, Devils 1
Teuvo Teravainen scored with 10:23 remaining to break a tie as
Carolina defeated visiting New Jersey.
The Hurricanes have followed a six-game losing streak with victories
on consecutive nights against teams they are chasing in the Eastern
Conference playoff race. They won Thursday night at Philadelphia.
Cam Ward made 25 saves for the Hurricanes. He was the losing goalie
against the Devils less than two weeks ago in an overtime game at
home. New Jersey goalie Keith Kinkaid made 27 stops.
Canadiens 6, Islanders 3
Paul Byron and Noah Juulsen scored fewer than two minutes apart
shortly before the midway point of the third period for visiting
Montreal, which went on to beat reeling New York.
Alex Galchenyuk, playing in his 400th NHL game, collected his second
hat trick for the Canadiens, who beat the Islanders for the second
time in three nights. Brendan Gallagher also scored for Montreal,
which has collected a point in six straight games (3-0-3). Goalie
Charlie Lindgren recorded 32 saves.
Tanner Fritz, Josh Bailey and Brock Nelson scored for the Islanders,
who have a five-game losing streak (0-4-1).
