In an
effort to provide recycling services to those household outside the
city limits, the Agency has purchased two bins to provide recycling
of co-mingled plastics/metals and paper materials; the bins have
been placed in the parking lot of the Lincoln Big R Store adjacent
to Woodlawn Road.
The
recycling guidelines for acceptable materials remain unchanged and
recyclers are reminded not to place glass, plastic bags or
corrugated cardboard in the bins. The recycling bins are for
residential recycling only and commercial, landscape, construction
or agricultural materials are not accepted.
Recyclers are reminded to empty materials loose into the bins and
not to overload the bins - making sure the lids close. Do not leave
any materials on the ground where it can be blown around the parking
lot. The recycling bins will be emptied weekly by the Agency using
its collection truck. When recycling remember – if in doubt, leave
it out.
