Obituary
Marian Haseley, 95, of Lincoln,
passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at
Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.
Marian was born on April 9, 1922 in Lincoln, the
daughter of Otis Elmer and Cora (Wieber) Coates. She
married Arthur Haseley on October 8, 1944 in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on December 27,
1980.
Marian is survived by her children: Lynn (Judy)
Haseley of Beason, and Marcia Greenslate of Beason,
two granddaughters: Debra (Raymond Allen) Haseley of
Lincoln, and Kelly Haseley of Beason, and her
cherished friend: Sarah Stambaugh of Beason. She was
preceded in death by her parents and two sisters:
Louise Davis and Lois Mayberry.
Marian was a lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church
in Lincoln. She was a homemaker, mother, and
grandmother who enjoyed gardening, sewing, and
baking, especially cookies and pies.

Through the years she was an active member of County
and State Farm Bureau Women’s Committee, the Logan
County Homemakers Extension, and the local and state
Shorthorn Lassies Association. She was an avid
supporter of Logan County 4H. She loved the Logan
County Fair and attended all 81 years.
Services for Marian will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, March
5, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln, IL with
Rev. Mark Thompson officiating. Visitation will be
two hour prior to service (9:00-11:00 a.m.) also at
the church. Burial at new Union Cemetery will follow
the service. Memorial donations may be made in
Marian’s name to Zion Lutheran Church or Zion
Lutheran School. Services have been entrusted to
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln.
