Lincoln Junior High School 8th grade Volleyball picks up regional win

[March 07, 2018]    The Lincoln Junior High School volleyball team picked up a win in the opening round of the Class 8-4A Regional 11 on Tuesday afternoon. The Lady Trojans (4th seed) defeated Washington Central (5th seed) in two sets, 25-19 and 25-15.

Lincoln will play Morton (1st seed) today at 4:30 p.m.

In other volleyball action at the regional tournament hosted by LJHS, Clinton (3rd seed) lost to East Peoria Central (6th seed) in three sets. East Peoria Central won that match by scores of 25-13, 22-25 and 25-15.

Following the Lincoln-Morton game tonight, Bloomington Junior High School (2nd seed) will take on East Peoria Central.

The winners will meet for the regional championship tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m. at LJHS.
